2017 CLASS: Beginner Old-Style Irish Dance (Kids)
To accommodate busy summer schedules, we allow families to pay at the beginning of the semester only for the classes they will attend. Under "Quantity", enter the number of classes you will attend (a figure less than or equal to 10). Please communicate with us which dates you will be attending class, so that we can book the studio.

Day and Time:
Tuesday evenings, 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.
$25 per class for 10 weeks (or $250 for entire term)
6 and up
Students will learn basic old-style Irish dance steps and learn to identify forms of Irish traditional dance music (i.e. reels, jigs, hornpipes, etc) by ear. Students will become familiar with historical aspects of Irish traditional music and dance, especially the lineage of dances and steps they learn.
This class builds fluency with fundamental concepts in Irish dancing such as learning to count beats in a measure and measures in a part, and executing batters, tip downs, hop backs, overs, the rise and grind, and the side step.
Every class features live music.
